Dom church
As some of you might know, I’m a huge Harry Potter fan. When I visited the Dom church in Utrecht, its courtyard reminded me a lot of the ones from Hogwarts. I just needed to take my camera back to this location to take some photos. And so I did =D
Location
The Dom church is right in the center of Utrecht at walking distance from the train station. And very fittingly, I was playing Wizards Unite while walking to the church ^^.
Besides the beautiful and relaxing courtyard, the inside of the church is just as beautiful. On the photo below you can see a nice panoramic shot of the interior, which is just as beautiful as its exterior. Maybe it’s just me having a weak spot for old architecture, but I really do love the look and feel of old buildings, either in a good state or almost falling apart. There is just has something “magical” and fairytale-like that I love about it.
Entrance to the church and courtyard is completely free, so you can visit whenever you want, how much you want. They do accept donations to keep it open for public access.
The pictures speak for themselves. If you’re looking for a medieval (Harry Potter like) location, this is a great place to visit.
