Mountain Bike Lake
After the shiny white lake from one of the previous location logs, I have another lake for you. This one is in the same area in Beetsterzwaag. It’s an easy to find location when you leave from “Het Witte Huis” restaurant. If you take the mountain bike trail, you’re going to cycle right at it. If you’re on foot, you’ll just need to take a turn earlier on the parking spot.
The lake
When I hit my first MTB trail earlier this year, I saw so many beautiful new locations. Including this one. In the very beginning of the mountain bike trail in Beetsterzwaag, you immediately enter this wide open area with, in the middle, a nice shining lake in which a view small islands reflect in the water.
In the late afternoon light, as above, you’ll get a nice backlight over the trees. Because the surroundings are so nice looking, I often find myself doing a view laps around the lake. The variation in the ground, with small ups and downs, make it quite enjoyable to go around a view times.
When you get up early and cycle to this location, you’ll be able to get some nice golden rays shining through the trees. Also, the backlight from a rising sun can give you some cool photos like in the one below.
