A new series
Finally started blogging again!!
The past view months have been really packed with school and work. Though in these months I have gathered a lot of blog post ideas. Starting off with a new series of posts called “location log”. In these posts I’ll share all sorts of beautiful locations I’ve come across.
One of my new year’s resolutions is to get a bit more in shape. To achieve this, I got myself something I’ve been wanting to buy for a while now, which is a mountain bike! In December I finally bought one!! I am completely in love with it =D. You can definitely expect some mountain bike related post in the future too ^^.
Since I started mountain biking, I have come across lots of beautiful spots which are perfect for photography. So naturally I have taken my camera with me almost every time I went out cycling.
The White Lake
The first location is called the “White Lake” (“Witte Meer” in Dutch). This is a beautiful lake in Beetsterzwaag (Netherlands) which you cycle along when you follow the mountain bike trail in Beetsterzaag. It’s also reachable by foot if you walk around “Landgoed Lauswolt”.
The lake is already quite beautiful by itself, especially if you visit at sunset. The extra special thing about this lake are the two old shipping containers standing right next to it. These containers are used as storage for supplies from the local ice-skating club.
But who cares about the practical use for these containers when they look so beautiful!! They are perfect if you want to shoot some portrait photography or any photography for that matter 😉
At sunset, the White Lake is even more beautiful as the sun sets right behind the trees.
If you have someone with you who wants to model for a picture, you can have them pose in front of the lake/sunset. There are also plenty of trees around the lake which you can use creatively to your advantage.
